Tree planting work parties
Time & Location
About the Event
Between November and March, we will be announcing dates for working parties to plant thousands of trees at Ockwells Nature Area. These will be protected by deer fencing and will be one of the most substantial tree-planting activities in the borough. The work parties are being done in partnership with RBWM and led by them.
These are activities which require an Alfred Wainwright approach: 'There is no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing'. Come warmly dressed with sturdy boots, and wet weather gear if the forecast isn't great. Bring a spade if you have one, though there will be a stock of spades.
There is a loo but it's about 10 minutes walk from the work site. We'll post details here of the days and times when we have them. At the moment, the RSVP button here will take you to the Wild Maidenhead contact page - you can send us an email if you would like to join a work party.
If you are a paid-up member of Wild Maidenhead (£5 up to the end of January 2020, then all memberships renew), then you will be notified by email with details of activities. Worth joining us and supporting us - go to the Join Now page.
